Metro Redux Revealed

4A Games and Deep Silver have announced that they are bringing both Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light to PS4 in the Metro Redux bundle. This is more than just a next-gen port, Metro 2033 has received a plethora of updgrades:

“Enjoy completely re-mastered visuals: advanced lighting, dynamic weather, more detailed characters with improved animation, more dynamic destruction and improved smoke, fire and particle effects. Experience radically improved gameplay: advanced enemy AI, improved combat and stealth mechanics, superior weapon handling and more responsive, intuitive controls plus signature features from Last Light such as the atmospheric ‘mask wipe’ mechanic, weapon customization, and silent kills and takedowns.”

Metro Last Light will also get its fair share of upgrades, you can read about them here. Both games will receive two new play styles: Survival and Spartan. Survival will give the player quite a challenge with smarter enemies, less resources, and slower reload speeds. While the Spartan mode will give more action-oriented players more resources and give Artyom advanced combat skills.  The infamous Ranger mode will also make a return, which removes the HUD and ups the difficulty, in both games. When the amped post apocalyptic adventure is released you can either buy both in a bundle for $49.99 or separately for $24.99. Both games are scheduled to release this summer. In the meantime here is a trailer.
